In response to this recommendation In response to this recommendation, the Home Treatment Team conducted a comprehensive evaluation of Miss Kelly's state mind and functioning. The review included a thorough medical history as well as a physical examination. The review included a detailed psychotherapy assessment, a family therapy assessment and a psychiatric diagnose interview.

According to the report the report states that Miss Kelly suffered from multiple mental health issues, such as borderline personality disorder, bulimia nervosa, and anorexia nervosa. She also had an addiction history to drugs and domestic abuse. Her symptoms were worsened by anxiety, stress, and depression. She was also diagnosed as having bipolar affective and schizoaffective disorder.

Elayaperumal claims Medtronic has discriminated against him due to his race or nationality. He claims that his poor performance review in June of 2000 as well as the decision not to grant him certain project assignments were motivated by racism. However, there is no evidence to suggest that Medtronic's decision-making was based on those factors. In addition, Elayaperumal's poor performance review did not lead to a reduction in his compensation or benefits, or even his duties.
